Located along the beautiful Red Deer River and only a few kilometres from the renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum, Drumheller/Dinosaur Trail KOA is the perfect home base for exploring everything the Canadian Badlands have to offer.

With 221 sites spread across both open and treed areas, the campground offers options for every camping style—from tenting and dry camping to fully serviced sites suitable for large RVs.

Don’t own an RV? Choose from our cabins, cottages and bunkies, where you can experience the fun of camping with added comfort and convenience.

Amenities and Adventures Await!

There is no shortage of things to see and do around Drumheller. Play a round at the nearby Drumheller Golf Course, visit the World’s Largest Dinosaur, explore the Homestead Antique Museum or experience the dramatic landscapes of Horse Thief Canyon and the historic East Coulee coal-mining area.

Back at the campground, cool off in the swimming pool or relax at your site. We offer full- and partial-hookup RV sites with 15-, 30- and 50-amp electrical service, along with tenting and dry-camping options.

Our dinosaur-themed General Store carries camping essentials and convenient supplies. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, and guests have easy access to an onsite laundromat, modern washrooms and showers.

Drumheller/Dinosaur Trail KOA is open annually from May 1 through September 30.

Please note: Outside firewood is not permitted. Firewood is available for purchase onsite.

Shaftesbury and Clarendon

Our spacious deluxe cabins combine the fun of camping with the comforts of home. Each beautifully designed cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining area, television, queen bedroom, bunk beds and a private bathroom. Both cabins are conveniently located near the recreation centre.

Dino Dens
